The coastal road between Misrata and Sirte has been reopened after six days of shutdown, identical sources have reported.

Chief of Law Enforcement Authority in central Libya and commander of security positions of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission, Abdelsalam Anu Zarig, confirmed the reopening and removing of roadblocks from the Misrata-Sirte coastal road.

Tripoli- Misrata coastal road was also reopened on Sunday after being blocked on Saturday following clashes between two armed groups: one was under the Government of National Unity and the other was loyal to Fathi Bashagha's government.

Gunmen from Misrata blocked the coastal road at 60 km checkpoint in western Sirte, halting the travels of Libyans and those of goods' trucks as well as ambulances that transfer patients between east and west regions.
