The Chinese Charge d'Affaires in Libya, Wang Qimin, said his country's companies will return to Libya once the security status in the country permits.

These remarks came in a meeting on Wednesday with the deputy head of the Presidential Council, Abdelsalam Kajman, to discuss mutual relations between China and Libya.

Qimin told Kajman that China is interested in training Libyan cadres in IT, state institutions, and foreign firms security, in addition to its role in development projects in southern Libya.

"We are interested in achieving stability and security in Libya." Qimin added.

Kajman told Qimin that Libya appreciates China's role and its companies' significance in Libya's development projects.

"The PC has reviewed the contracts Libya has with Chinese companies. It has been doing its best to drive away any obstacles so that the companies can resume work." Kajman indicated.

Like most foreign companies, Chines firms left Libya in 2011 due to the security status, leaving also behind many unfinished projects that are worth billions of dollars.
