Members from the Constitution Drafting Assembly (CDA) have met with the members of the High Council of Libyan Amazigh in Zuwara.

The Sunday meeting is an attempt to convince the Amazigh component to join the CDA after boycotting it since the start without taking part in voting or any other official procedure, CDA member, Nadiya Al-Omrani said in a press statement.

"The accord committee of the CDA has taken into consideration all the points in its latest draft, which is yet to be voted on on May 07." She added.

The High Council of Libyan Amazigh has objected to the way the CDA is working and the way it has been elected in the first place, calling for bringing the CDA members to justice as they are now using an official title they are not entitled for after their terms have finished.

The High Council of Libyan Amazigh also urged Libyans not to recognize any draft devised by the CDA.
