The Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, has reiterated that Ankara aims for peace and stability in Libya.
In a joint press conference Thursday with the Qatari Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Cavusoglu said Ankara always wanted to see Libya regain peace, security and stability.
Cavusoglu also said that he had discussed with the Qatari counterpart support for the new executive authority in Libya to help exact security and allow Libyans to decide on their future state.
Al-Thani reiterated Doha’s support for the new executive authority in Libya, saying it is a very positive step for all Libyans.
He said that Qatar would continue to support Libya to end the crisis and reach free and democratic elections by December 24.
Meanwhile, the Turkish Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar, said everyone should understand that Turkey's government and armed forces had a very momentous role leading Libya to the current phase.
