The Crisis Committee in Benghazi Municipality will relocate Benghazi IDPs from Al-Marj city to Buhadi district in eastern Benghazi starting from Wednesday, member of the Committee Fouziya Ghaith has declared.

Fouziya added that the IDPs’ transfer to Buhadi is going to be temporary until the Crisis Committee kicks off its project next month, which would give shelter to the IDPs inside Benghazi in the areas of Sidi Younis and Sidi Mansour.

Meanwhile, Benghazi IDPs are still going through many hardships such as high-price rents amidst delayed salary payments, which forced them to live in school and colleges in many eastern cities. However, the eastern municipalities, where the IDPs live, have made worst for them, asking them to leave as the new school year begins.

Thousands of Benghazi locals have fled the city to escape the ongoing heavy fighting between Dignity Operation and the Shura Council.
