The Libyan Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha met Monday with the German ambassador to Libya Oliver Owcza and discussed political developments and solutions to the Libyan crisis.

Bashagha and Owcza talked at the Interior Ministry headquarters in Tripoli about cooperation in security as the latter expressed Berlin's keenness to resolve the Libyan crisis politically without foreign intervention, while Bashagha thanked Germany for its efforts in resolving the conflict in Libya.

Bashagha also said on Twitter that they also talked about expelling Russian mercenaries to ensure Libya remains united and stable.

Meanwhile, Owcza tweeted that he liked Bashagha's focus on Libya's security and unity and said they had agreed that all national and international efforts should be directed to a political dialogue under the auspices of the UN.
