The Fifth Meeting of Libyan Army Staff has started earlier today in Tripoli Naval Base under the slogan (One Army, One Country) in the presence of the Chief of Staff, Abdulsalam Al-Abidi and the Prime Minister, Khalifa Al-Ghweil, as well as Libyan Army personnel and military leaders.

The attendees stressed the importance of building a strong national army that can defend Libya at all times and reaffirmed that all efforts must be united to achieve a military institution neutral to all of the current political conflicts.

The land and air military forces have conducted a military parade as part of the event.

Al-Ghweil, in his speech to the army staff, offered condolences for the families of the martyrs and hailed the efforts made by the revolutionaries of the General Staff on the front lines all around Libya.

He also expressed appreciation and gratitude for being present in the Fifth Meeting of the Army, which shows a great will for forming a country of institutions and law that will ensure the civilians' security and safety for a better Libya in the future.

"We have to help build a strong military institution and a firm army loyal only to Allah and to the country to achieve the goals that we have always longed for." He added.

He then concluded by pointing out the GNC's flexibility toward the dialogue believing that it would be a peaceful way out of the crisis and a strong way to fight terrorism and extremism, which the other party (Tobrouk government) is constantly hindering by being obstinate and selfish.
