The senior leader at the Anti-Terrorism Force, Mukhtar Al-Jahawi, criticized the work of the UNSMIL and the Tripoli's ceasefire's articles, which were brokered by the UNSMIL's Head Ghassan Salame.

"The reforms announced by Salame and Fayez Al-Sirraj as well as the Central Bank are wrong and not intended to reform but just a ploy to scam Libyans." Al-Jahawi said in a letter he sent to Salame.

He said the Libyan crisis should be tackled as a political one not an economic one as tapping more taxes and fees is a sign for failing states not successful ones, he added.

"Since the 2105 signing of the Skhirat agreement and three years on, no article of the agreement has been implemented in any field; not in economy, politics, and not even in national reconciliations." He remarked.

He indicated that the "Government of National Accord" only supported militias to control Tripoli with some close individuals receiving favors from the government such as letters of credit, thus making prices skyrocket amid lack of cash at the banks.

"The UN experts' report of September 05 is a proof of such points." He added.

"The clashes in Tripoli erupted in late August but as the UNSMIL took the lead in brokering a truce using its power, it left no chance for a national call, choosing to end the issue with security measures to be made by individuals and parties it had selected." He said.

"Looking at the reforms announced by the UNSMIL, I wonder if its role is helping Libyans with the rest of the expertise or just prolonging the crisis and making it more complex." Al-Jahawi explained.

The Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sirraj, issued Sunday an order to form a join force to end conflicts and prevail security in Tripoli led by the commander of western military zone Brigadier General Osama Al-Juwaili, with Anti-Terrorism Force being part of it.
