Tunisian President Kais Saied and President Abdel Majid Tebboune of Algeria reiterated Wednesday the need for the Libyan people to decide their fate in order to resolve their crisis with no foreign interference.

In a joint press conference with his Tunisian counterpart in Tunis, Tebboune said he and President Saeed share a vision that the solution in Libya must be Libyan, expressing hope that the country will be able to get all foreign forces out of its territory and achieve national reconciliation soon.

For his part, President Saeed confirmed that there is continuous coordination with Algeria regarding regional issues, especially the situation in Libya.

Addressing his Algerian counterpart, Saeed said the sovereignty of Libya rests with its people, and they can decide what is best for themselves.

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune started a two-day visit to Tunisia on Wednesday at the invitation of his Tunisian counterpart, Kais Saied, to discuss files of common interest, including the Libya crisis.
