The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, reiterated Tuesday in a meeting with the visiting Head of Libyan Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, Cairo's unwavering support for all efforts that lead to Libya's stability and sovereignty, as well as to fulfilling the aspirations of Libyans.

The remarks were said in the meeting in the presence of Egyptian Foreign Minister and Chief of Intelligence as well as the Libyan permanent ambassador to the Arab League, according to a statement by the spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency.

The spokesman said Menfi hailed the vital role by Egypt to regain stability and unity of state institutions in Libya, especially the military institution, represented by the Libyan Army, in line with the efforts of 5+5 Joint Military Commission.

Menfi discussed with Al-Sisi the latest developments in Libya and agreed to continue consultation and coordination to follow up on the development of the political process and the interim authority measures to help Libyans restore sovereignty and stability.
