Egyptian military special forces, backed by military intelligence and other forces, are currently involved in military preparations for Khalifa Haftar's forces to attack Derna city, eastern Libya, and have it under Dignity Operation control, The New Arab - an Egyptian opposition website - reported Tuesday.

The website added that tens of Egyptian troops have been moved to Haftar-led military camps via Egyptian airplanes, adding that this is not the first time Egypt sends military assistance (troops and other equipment) to Haftar's forces in land attacks.

"The first time was in 2015." The New Arab said.

Egyptian warplanes will give a cover for the upcoming land attack with additional military aircraft operations for two more weeks after the attack, according to Egyptian commanders' expectations, The New Arab added.

"The attack will target all anti-Dignity Operation groups without any pick and select operations." The website reported.

Over the last three days, Egypt's warplanes have air attacked Derna and Jufra cities causing only material damage.
