Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has reiterated his support for Libya's new government, stressing readiness to provide expertise and support to achieve political stability and implement development projects in Libya.

In a phone conversation with Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, Al-Sisi said that the approval of the Government of National Unity (GNU) by the House of Representatives is an important historical step on the way to settling the Libyan crisis.

He expressed confidence in the ability of Dbeibah to deal with the current challenges of the transitional phase, including bringing Libyans together and unifying institutions in preparation for elections next December.

For his part, Dbeibah expressed his appreciation for Egypt's role in settling the Libyan crisis, underscoring his desire to maintain a privileged relationship with Egypt.
