The Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sirraj, met Tuesday with the members of the security measures' committee of Greater Tripoli to review its tasks.

"WE are in dispute with the hindrances of democracy not with any Libyan city or social component. We are in dispute with those who are trifling people and risking their lives." Al-Sirraj told the members.

He stressed on the need for the committee to oversee the ceasefire's implementation and holding among all parties and to secure the country by implementing the agreed upon measures.

"We have given instructions to ministries and other institutions to support the committee as it starts executing the security measures." Al-Sirraj said, adding that Shirt-agreement's security measures apply to Tripoli and the rest of the country alike.

He added that the measures will also secure the upcoming elections in Libya to end the current crisis.

Clashes erupted on Tuesday on the Tripoli Tariq Al-Matar (Airport Road) between Liwaa Al-Summod forces led by former Libyan Dawn leader Salah Badi and Central Security Department forces in Abu Salim led by Abdelghani Al-Kikli.
