The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj has met with the vice president of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and other officials in Dubai to discuss the latest developments in Libya.

The Tuesday meeting reviewed political conflicts in Libya, and the mutual relations between the two countries, according to Al-Sirraj's media office.

It added that both parties reiterated the need for democracy that leads to holding elections based on constitutional principles as per the action plan of UN envoy Ghassan Salame.

UAE's vice president reaffirmed that his country backs up stability efforts in Libya and continues to help Libyans end the crisis.

Al-Sirraj arrived in the UAE on a formal visit on Monday to meets with Libyan and international parties to end the closure of Sharara oilfield, which actually happened as the NOC chairman agreed to lift force majeure in his talks with Al-Sirraj in Abu Dhabi.
