The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj said trusting Khalifa Haftar was a big mistake and the latter's attack on Tripoli was a stab in the back.
Al-Sarraj told Radio Télévision Suisse that there is no way for negotiations with Haftar and Libya's partition is something of a red line that cannot be crossed.
"I'm going to give power and authority of Libya to my successors as a whole not as a divided country." He remarked.
He also refused to be accused of failing to end presence of armed groups, saying there were over 100 of them in Tripoli when he came to office and he managed to make them join regular forces.
"There are only four armed groups in Tripoli today." Al-Sarraj said.
Al-Sarraj has been rejecting negotiations with Haftar, calling him a dictator wanting personal rule over Libya, in addition to his rejection of internationally-backed unconditional ceasefire truces, demanding Haftar's forces return to their previous positions as of before April 04.
He said more than once that negotiations and political process with Haftar as partner would never be possible after April 04.
