The Head of Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj met Thursday with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, saying in a joint press conference that forces under the command of Government of National Accord aim to seize control of the entire country and bring all the criminals to justice.

Al-Sarraj also said that Libya looks forward to the return of Turkish firms to work in infrastructure and reconstruction projects in Libya, thanking Ankara for siding with legitimacy in Libya.

Meanwhile, Erdogan said Turkey is assisting the legitimate government in Libya and that Ankara won't let a putschist or mercenaries rule Libya, adding that history will hold accountable those who helped the coup leader Haftar.

Erdogan also called for preventing the illicit sales of Libyan oil by Haftar, saying his government and GNA had reached agreements on more cooperation between the two countries, saying Turkey will work with the GNA in all international circles to consolidate legitimacy in Libya.

He added that it is not possible that one person (Haftar) who poses a threat to Libya's future to sit on the dialogue table for political solutions, adding that his government and GNA had always encouraged political solutions despite all Haftar's war crimes.

Erdogan added that Turkey also aims to cooperate with Libya to have the right to carry out oil exploration activities in the eastern Mediterranean region.
