The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al- Sarraj said measures to keep civilians secure and public and private properties out of the damage scope are being taken, saying captured fighters from Khalifa Haftar's forces should be treated well.

Al- Sarraj's remarks came in a Wednesday meeting with Libyan Chief of Staff Mohammed Al-Sharif in the presence of military commanders of Tripoli, central region, and western region.

The military commanders reviewed with Al- Sarraj the conditions of field battles in the capital and its suburbs.

"Our forces are fighting as part of the second stage plan in full coordination with all frontlines." The military commanders remarked.

Meanwhile, Al- Sarraj hailed the valorous fighters for their defending of Tripoli against the attacking forces and for their turn into the offensive stage against them.

Al- Sarraj told RTS on Tuesday that trusting Haftar was a big mistake and that negotiations with him would not be possible until his forces return to their previous positions.
