The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al- Sarraj met Saturday with female societies and organizations in cooperation with the Women Support Unit at the Government of National Accord.

The meeting is part of the series of meetings being held by Al- Sarraj with social components to find out a new vision for Libya after the end of Tripoli offensive.

Al- Sarraj hailed the role of Libyan women in political life and their stance on the ongoing conflict, saying they are a major factor in building peace and development.

"Women are present in all fields in the government and society from ministers to artists. They are very essential and we just work more to involve those women who haven't gotten any chance to contribute to their country." He added.

"We still have a role to play in ending discrimination against women and to establish equal opportunities and rights for them so all can work in building our country." Al- Sarraj further added.

He called on women to contribute to devising a unified vision for the future of the country to achieve peace and end the current conflict.
