The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj and the Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha discussed Wednesday facilitating the needed capabilities amid the ongoing "full mobilization of forces across the country" to repel the "aggression of Khalifa Haftar's forces on Tripoli".

The two officials discussed the security status in Tripoli and its suburbs as well as the efforts of the Interior Ministry to strengthen security procedures and its coordination with armed forces to implement the arrangements to protect civilians and deter the outlaws.

Several cities in western and central Libya, including Misrata, Al-Zawiya and Zliten, announced full mobilization of forces to repel the aggression of Haftar's forces on Tripoli and to foil the attempts targeting the return of dictatorship to Libya.

Greater Tripoli Municipality welcomed the mobilization decision and called in a statement Tuesday on the Head of the Presidential Council to issue an order calling for general mobilization to win the battle of Tripoli.

Tripoli-based House of Representatives said it is committed to providing the necessary facilitation for the Presidential Council's government in its military operations to repel the offensive against Tripoli.

The HoR rejected the coup led by Haftar and urged for foiling Haftar's aggression on Tripoli, calling on all cities and institutions to declare mobilization to repel the aggression.
