The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj has discussed with the UK chargé d'affaires, Martin Reynolds, the latest developments in Libya and the ramification of the offensive against Tripoli as well as the international efforts to resolve the Libyan crisis.

Al-Sarraj reiterated to the UK chargé d'affaires that his government forces are committed to defeating the attacking forces and that his government is with returning to the political process but with special consideration of the changes caused by the war on Tripoli.

He also stressed that almost stakeholders in Libya should be invited to the Berlin international conference on Libya that will aim to broker a solution to the conflict.

Meanwhile, Reynolds said the UK is committed to supporting the Presidential Council's government and said he "understands the government's position regarding the political process."

The two officials reiterated that negative external interventions in Libya are fueling the crisis, saying they must be halted.
