Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Al-Qatrani says that the recent steps taken by the Turkish leadership towards the Libyan file will have positive implications.

Al-Qatrani indicated during his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Kanaan Yilmaz, that the role of the friendly countries to Libya is to provide support to its institutions for the success of the current political, economic, and military tracks.

The deputy PM stressed the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation at all levels to serve the interests of both nations.

He invited the Turkish ambassador to visit the eastern region in the coming days to practically lay the foundations for joint political action and contribute to the reconstruction program.

For his part, ambassador Yilmaz reiterated his country's desire to support the efforts of the political track by hearing the views of all relevant parties.

The Turkish ambassador emphasized the need to reactivate diplomatic and consular representation in Benghazi, organizing an official visit to the embassy and resuming commercial traffic between the sea, and air, ports of the east and the Turkish state.
