The Head of the Libyan High Council of State, Khalid Al-Mishri, reviewed Wednesday with the Turkish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sedat Onal, the importance of holding elections on time and on agreeable, solid foundations.

The meeting took place in Tripoli after Onal and a Turkish delegation had arrived ahead of attending the ministerial on the Libya Stability Initiative on Thursday.

Al-Mishri and Onal also discussed bilateral relations between Libya and Turkey as well as the latest developments on preparing for December elections, according to the media office of the High Council of State, which added that they also discussed the Thursday ministerial and ways to make it successful for Libyans.

UN, Kuwait, Turkey, and the Republic of Congo have all sent their representatives for the Libyan conference slated for Thursday, while more delegations from other countries are yet to arrive in Tripoli.
