The Head of the High Council of State (HCS) Khalid Al-Mishri said Monday that Russia should break relations with parallel institutions in eastern Libya given the damage inflicted on Libya's economy by printing dinar banknotes in Russia.

The remarks came in a meeting for Al-Mishri with the deputy foreign minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov in Moscow, where Al-Mishri stressed for the need to implement the UN ban on arms exports to Libya properly and wholly.

Bogdanov expressed Russia's commitment to the UN Security Council's resolutions and the efforts of the UNSMIL, saying Moscow doesn't see a military resolution is the way to resolve Libya's crisis, rather the political solution and unity are the ways for better Libya.

Al-Mishri arrived in Moscow on Sunday to discuss mutual relations and cooperation.

The HCS's media office said Al-Mishri will be in Moscow for several days to discuss the latest in Libya.
