The Head of the High Council of State (HCS) Khalid Al-Mishri said Sunday that the constitutional amendment No. 12 and the appointment of a new Prime Minister by the House of Representatives (HoR) aren't final and the HCS has notes on those decisions that will be discussed in an official, transparent session, adding that he is keen on the greater good of Libya away from narrow personal gains.

The statement comes amid growing calls for dissolving the HoR and HCS and rejecting the appointment of Fathi Bashagha as PM and passing constitutional amendment No.12, in addition to some HCS members and stakeholders’ disappointment in Al-Mishri for his latest statement that included latent support to HoR decisions.

On Saturday, Al-Mishri defended the consensus between the HCS and HoR on the constitutional amendment and replacement of PM, saying they both conditioned the PM appointment to obtaining 40 recommendations from HoR and 30 from HCS, and adding that Bashagha had obtained 52 recommendations from the HCS.
