Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush joined a virtual seminar on Thursday entitled (The Impact of Ukraine’s War on Fragile Countries in the Middle East and North Africa).

The event, organized by the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) in partnership with the International Center for Dialogue Initiatives (ICDI), focused on the potential repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the Russia-NATO turbulent relationship and its impact on the (MENA) countries.

Al-Manqoush explained Libya’s vision on the current confrontation between Russia and Ukraine and exchanged views with her colleagues on prospects for peace in the ongoing conflicts, especially in Libya, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry said the seminar also discussed the negative impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the dynamics at the level of the UN Security Council, which further complicates the peaceful settlement of these disputes.
