The Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, chaired the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers participating in the work of the United Nations General Assembly.

The consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of Arab countries participating in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly was held at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of Libya to the United Nations, headed by Al-Mangoush, Chairman of the 158th Ordinary Session of the Ministerial Council of the Arab League, with the participation of the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

According to the Presidential Council, the meeting discussed the coordination process on the most important topics on the agenda of the current session of the General Assembly in order to ensure support for Arab causes, especially the Palestinian cause, and other issues related to the Arab world.

The Presidential Council stressed, during the opening speech, the need to strengthen joint work mechanisms and coordinate Arab positions towards the issues in the region.
