Vice President of the Presidential Council (PC) Abdullah Al-Lafi and Parliament Speaker Aqilah Saleh met on Monday to talk over points of contention in the draft constitution.

A statement by the PC media office said the meeting is part of the Presidential Council's efforts to formulate a comprehensive national initiative, as was announced last week.

The meeting, which was joined by MPs Al-Mabrouk Al-Khattabi and Ayman Seif Al-Nasr, discussed the electricity and fuel crisis that is negatively impacting the living conditions in the country.

In this context, the vice president joined the Parliament's speaker in his call for an investigation into the "true" causes of the crisis.

Implementing the constitutional and electoral entitlements requires unifying the country under one government, says Al-Lafi

He said they agreed on several points that would be put forward for discussions with other concerned parties to reach a final formula as soon as possible.
