Member of Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni received on Thursday Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Libya, Dolf Hogewoning, and his deputy.

The Dutch ambassador confirmed his country's continued support for the Presidential Council, as a political partner and as an effective leadership, that would achieve stability in Libya, and make the inclusive national reconciliation project a success.

The meeting reviewed the latest developments of the political situation in Libya, and the process to reach an agreement on the constitutional base between the House of Representatives and the High Council of State to hold elections as soon as possible.

During the meeting, Al-Koni stressed that the solution to get out of the Libyan crisis passes through the ballot boxes.

He stressed the importance of the European role in pushing in this direction, in order to achieve stability in Libya, which is stability for Europe as well.

For his part, the ambassador expressed his country's interest in supporting the regions of southern Libya, in many areas, in coordination with the relevant authorities in the Libyan state, to ensure its development and stability.
