Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council Musa Al-Koni on Wednesday discussed with the British Ambassador to Libya Nicholas Hopton the national reconciliation file and border security.

The British ambassador stressed during the meeting the depth of relations between the two countries, emphasizing his country's desire to develop ties in all fields, and the UK's commitment to supporting the peace process in Libya, according to a tweet by the PC Spokeswoman Najwa Wahiba.

Besides joint cooperation, the two sides talked over the developing situation in the Libyan political arena, the efforts of the Presidential Council, and its preparations for holding the elections on time.

The meeting also dealt with the security file represented in securing borders, limiting illegal immigration, and combating terrorism.
