The First Vice Prime Minister, Hussein Al-Gotrani, objected in two letters to the Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah to the formation of government delegations to visit Benghazi and Al-Kufra, saying they are under his administrative authority.

Al-Gotrani said he is authorized to work on unification of institutions, referring to a Dbeibah decision to form a government delegation to review the situation, including border issues, in Al-Kufra, and adding that such a conduct by the government adds to administrative division and violates the political agreement and roadmap. He urged Dbeibah to amend his decision and make the delegations operate under his supervision as per the current laws.

Last Friday, Dbeibah called for sending a delegation to Benghazi to meet Al-Gotrani and discuss his latest complaints and urge him to resume his work without escalating the situation into institutional division.

Al-Gotrani hinted early this month at the possibility of forming a parallel government in the east because of "monopoly of decision-making" by Dbeibah and failing to give him authority to implement the roadmap of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum.
