The spokesman for Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous Mohammed Al-Ghusri said the attacks and explosions in central Libya are directly resulting from the escape of IS militants from Derna and Benghazi with the consent of the self-styled army of Khalifa Haftar.

Al-Ghusri told Alnabaa TV Channel that Haftar's forces looked the other way when IS terrorists withdrew from Benghazi and Derna toward Sirte, which was then under their control.

"Haftar's forces are to blame for the latest attack on El Agheila police station." He remarked.

He added that war on terror in eastern Libya was not serious and was hardly true, saying Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous forces are ready to fight terrorism anywhere in Libya once they were requested to do so by state authorities.

Gunmen suspected to be linked to IS terrorist group El Agheila checkpoint and police station some 120 kilometers to western Ajdabiya city, setting the station on fire and burning a number of vehicles on the way out - leaving deaths and injuries behind.

Haftar-loyal spokesman for Ajdabiya operations room said about 12 IS militants were killed in the tracking down operation after their attack on the police station, adding that one of their fighters was killed and another was injured.
