The spokesman of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos operation, Mohammed Al-Ghasri, said there are leaks, coming from inside IS groups, that confirm that there are IS leaders trapped inside Sirte.
Press Solidarity reported Al-Ghasri as saying that the existence of IS leaders inside Sirte made the militants, who are pinned down by Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos, reluctant to surrender.
“IS militants are still positioned in their locations, they are besieged now in an area of less than 5 km, knowing that they have tried in vain to break free out of our forces’ siege.” Al-Ghasri indicated.
He added that the forces took hold of Al-Doushma area, which overlooks Ouagadougou hall directly, confirming that they are now positioned in there and saying that though they are advancing slowly, their siege on IS militants is tight enough.
