The forces of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos (Solid Structure) military operation have taken hold of AL-Khamseen checkpoint on the coastal road, 50 km away from the ISIS militants' stronghold, Sirte, sources from the media bureau of the operation reported Wednesday evening.

The sources added that the operation's airforce and artillery shelling on the terrorist IS militants obliged them to abandon their positions and run away.

Earlier Wednesday, the spokesman of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos, Mohammed Al-Ghasri, announced that the forces of the operation had seized Al-Baghla checkpoint on the frontline battle against IS and that they are on the advance.

"We are making remarkable advances against the radical groups of IS and we are eyeing advance toward Sirte, IS stronghold." Al-Ghasri told the press.
