Forces of AL-Bunyan Al-Marsoos (Solid Structure) clashed Thursday evening with IS terrorists in Al-Gardabiya base in Sirte and in Buhadi town as well.

Media sources close to the senior leaders of the fighting brigades reported that the forces were so close to taking control of Al-Gardabiya base and Buhadi and freeing them from IS militants. 

On the other hand, Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos forces used heavy artillery to shell IS locations at the center of Sirte city for the first time since the start of the clashes when they shelled Al-Zaafaran and Al-Gharaibat neighborhoods.

Earlier, Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos announced that one of its warplanes crashed due to a technical malfunction after it had carried out a successful series of airstrikes on IS positions eastern Sirte steam power station and in Al-Gardabiya base.
“The pilot of the warplane returned safely to the Misrata airbase.” It indicated.

Meanwhile, the media bureau of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos said previously that clashes broke anew eastern the steam power plant, pointing out that IS militants targeted the forces advancing toward Sirte with a bomb car driven by a suicide bomber who blew himself up killing two of the forces’ fighters and wounding 12 to make the total number of deaths 7 and injuries 32 so far.
