A military convoy of Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous Operation – mainly from Misrata - arrived in Tripoli’s eastern suburb of Tajoura Sunday night in preparation for deployment in the capital.

Sources said the convoy, led by Chief of Anti-Terrorism Force of Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous Brigadier Mohammed Zain, is still stationed in Tajoura and is waiting orders to be deployed in several vital locations in Tripoli.

The sources added another force from Zliten is expected to join them in a mission that also aims to defuse growing tension.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior of the Presidential Council tasked newly formed Public Security and Checkpoints Agency  led by Emad Trabelsi from Zintan town to deploy in western Tripoli districts to protect public institutions.

Fighting continued in southern Tripoli on Monday with both warring groups exchange heavy fire in Ein Zara, Wadi Rabea and Kallat Furjan districts.
