Three people were killed and four others were injured due to the crash-landing of an air ambulance (MI14), in Labreg base Friday, a source from the base reported.

The source confirmed that the plane was transferring wounded persons from the Benghazi clashes between Khalifa Haftar’s militias and Benghazi Shura Council fighters, pointing out that the injuries are pretty serious and that a number of people, who were at the crash scene, were also wounded.

“The son of General Abdulrazzak Al-Nathori, who is the Chief of General Staff of renegade General Khalifa Haftar’s forces, was one of the three dead persons.” The source added.

On the other hand, the head of the media office of Labreg air base, Ali Busitta, told the press Friday that the plane exploded due to a mechanical deficiency when it took off from the base, adding that it was heading to Tobruk airbase.
