Tarhouna Municipality announced Saturday the start of the registration process of all the foreign residents in the city, urging them all to stop by the nearest police office and provide their residence location to get their names registered.

The Municipality also decided to form a joint committee of ministries’ representatives and municipal members to specify the foreigners in the city and the properties they have rented, for better organization.

“The registration process includes medical check-ups, security IDs, and a very close concentration on the environmental situation where the foreign laborers live in Tarhouna.” The Municipality indicated.

Formerly, Sabratha and Gharyan municipalities both started registering the foreign workforce and issuing security ID cards, especially after the violent clashes with IS in some of the cities, where most militants were foreigners.
