In a message to the Head of the UNSMIL, Bernardino Leon on Friday, The General National Congress Speaker, Nuri Abu Sahmain reiterated his readiness to from a specialized security team from the General staff’s personnel and revolutionaries to participate in the ongoing UN-sponsored security negotiations.
Abu Sahmain said it would be necessary that this formation comes under the umbrella of legal legitimacy that abides by the sovereignty of Libya and of Libya’s governmental institution, knowing that such a security agreement is not to be signed unless a solid guarantee and a safe environment are provided.
