The Libyan Presidential Council has allocated 75 million dinars to municipalities, local councils and steering committees in order to respond to the challenges facing communities amid the outbreak of Coronavirus in Libya.

The Presidential Council said Tuesday that the funds should be distributed to cover all aspects related to precautionary measures against Coronavirus outbreak in the country as well as the budget of medics and paramedics at the medical and quarantine centers.

The funds also include purchasing the disinfection materials as well as training and awareness programs, as per the recommendations of the Libyan National Center for Disease Control.

The decision is to be implemented by the relative committees in coordination with the Local Governing and Finance Ministries.
