Spokesman of the Libyan Army, Colonel Mohammad Qanunu

At least 20 gunmen of Haftar's militia were killed and two armored vehicles were destroyed in an attack launched by the Libyan army troops in the fighting axis of Khallatat south of Tripoli, Libyan Army Spokesman, Colonel Mohammad Ganounu, has confirmed.

In a press briefing on Friday, Ganounu explained that the mortar unit of the Libya army had targeted the infiltrators who fled and left the bodies of their mates at the Ramla al-Sawani axis.

The artillery also targeted three other posts of Haftar's militia in Salah al-Din axis, according to Ganounu.

He emphasized that claims by pro-Haftar media of fictitious victories are aimed at raising the morale of their militias, after failing to achieve any progress on the ground.

Ganounu underlined that "those aggressors will never enter Tripoli", confirming that reinforcements of the Central Military Region continue to arrive at the fighting axis in Tripoli.
