A group of young adventurers from the mountain town of Kabaw, western Libya, has discovered an underground cave in an area called "Warory", which contains limestone stalagmite and stalagmites in all sorts of forms, in addition to spring water.

Local sources said the adventurers explored the cave for a distance of 4 kilometers, but they could not determine the exact depth of it.

The entrance of the cave is a small hole in the mountain while its height from inside is about 7 meters, the sources added.

Mayor of Kabaw, Mohamed Oshin, said in a press statement that the cave was accidentally discovered by the adventurers after encountering a very small hole in the middle of the mountain, which prompted them to explore it to find a place full of mosaic stones.

The Municipal Council has closed the cave to the public to preserve it from damage until the Antiquity Department takes full control of the site.

The Municipal Council indicated that the Antiquity Department has already started contacts with an Italian exploration team to explore and study the cave.
