A woman has fallen into a state of extreme anxiety when she lost her little child in Mitiga Airport on Monday.

The woman and her son, identified as Abdul-Fittah Al-Awami, were waiting for their flight to the eastern airport of Labreg when she suddenly lost him amid the crowds who were waiting for their flights in a small waiting lounge.

The mother, with the help of volunteers, searched for the lost child everywhere possible, but in vain. She sat desperate and quickly the general impression was that the boy had been abducted, leaving the mother broken-hearted.

Later positive news emerged, bringing hope to the crying mother. The little boy Abdul-Fittah is now in Tunisia alone!

During their waiting, Abdul-Fittah went away from his mother, who apparently was careless, and entered the departure lounge, passing security checks and personnel. At the same moment, passengers for the Tunisian city of Sfax had completed their departure procedures and moved to the departure lounge. Abdul-Fittah followed the passengers and boarded the Libyan Airlines plane without being noticed.

Being a little child, everyone there, including security personnel and flight attendants, thought he was a member of one of the departing families, as he made no sign of fear and acted normally even after taking off.

It was until about arrival in Sfax when the crew and passengers realized that the boy was lost. The pilot had no option but to continue the flight first and then bring the child back to Mitiga Airport, where he rejoined his mother.
