Minister of Local Government, Badad Qansu, said that preparations for the municipal council elections for Zawiya city have proceeded as planned.
For his part, the head of the Central Committee for the Elections of Municipal Councils (CCEMC) clarified Saturday that the candidature for municipal council elections in Zawiya will be launched next Thursday, noting that the polling day was set in on April 28.
The CCEMC announced last March its commencement to develop a new system for the voter registration in the Municipality of Zawiya, in which the process of electing the municipal council was disrupted.
