The UN Special Adviser on Libya Stephanie Williams on Sunday said she met the parliament-designated Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha, in Tripoli, after a meeting she had with the interim Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.

Williams said she highlighted in her meeting with Bashagha "the need to go forward in an inclusive, transparent, and consensual manner, and to maintain stability in Tripoli and throughout the country."

She added that the focus must continue on the holding of free and fair elections in the shortest possible time.

Prior to this meeting, Williams also met with the PM of the interim government, Dbeibah, who, according to a statement by his media office, stressed the need to go to elections and complete the roadmap approved in Geneva.
