The Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Libya, Stephanie Williams, has met with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Tunisia and Libya, as well as representatives from the Embassies of Switzerland and the Netherlands to Libya, in their capacities as co-chairs on the Working Group on International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.

“I briefed them on my recent visits to various European capitals and we discussed the current status and future of the Berlin Process. We also discussed current events in Libya and they briefed me on the activities and future planning of the IHL/HR Working Group”, Williams tweeted.

Given her visit to Tarhouna, they agreed on the importance of ensuring that those responsible for such unspeakable atrocities are held accountable for their actions, and of the need to provide support to those left behind.
