The Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Libya, Stephanie Williams, has met with a number of members of the High Council of State (HCS) to talk over the current challenges facing the electoral process.

During the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) in Tripoli, the two sides stressed the importance of holding the elections based on constitution.

“I reiterated that any solution should take into consideration the demand of the 2.5 registered Libyan voters to hold an electoral event within the time frame set out by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum Roadmap”, Williams tweeted.
