The UN Secretary General’s Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, said on Twitter on Monday that she had discussed with the National Security Advisor of the Government of National Unity, Ibrahim Bushnaf, and the latest developments in Libya.

Williams added that they had stressed the importance of preserving momentum for the electoral process, pressing forward on national reconciliation and building consensus on a national vision for Libya.

Earlier, Williams said she returned to Tripoli to continue consultations with the political parties, actors and various stakeholders and urge everyone to ensure the continuity of the electoral process, in addition to giving priority to the interests of the Libyan people above all considerations, as well as to push the path of comprehensive national reconciliation and achieve stability in ‎Libya.
