The World Health Organization (WHO) condemned the ongoing attacks on civilians and health facilities in Libya, considering it as a violation of international humanitarian law.

The organization said in a statement Friday that the health facilities are subjected to repeated attacks, from raiding to destruction, urging all parties to the conflict to stop all forms of violence against civilians and health facilities.

The WHO head mission in Libya, Sayed Jaafar Hussein, called on parties to the conflict in southern Tripoli to refrain from targeting civilians and health facilities, saying that such attacks are a violation of international humanitarian law.
