The World Health Organization (WHO) office in Libya announced on Friday that a team of pediatric cardiologists had arrived at the Tobruk Medical Center headed by William Novick, a professor of child health at the University of Tennessee in the United States.

The team arrived in Libya on the 25th of March, and will remain for 4 weeks to provide specialized clinical care for more than 200 Libyan children suffering from heart diseases and conduct heart surgeries for 36 to 44 children.

It is worth noting that the World Health Organization has organized several previous visits by this team in Libya, starting from 2012 until 2016.
