The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Sunday that it had provided essential medical supplies to the Zintan General Hospital, funded by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).

About 30,000 people in Zintan will benefit from these supplies for a period of three months, according to the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

The UNSMIL added that the WHO provided 30 essential drug kits besides six medical kits to treat Type B injuries to the General Zintan hospital, noting that the supplies are sufficient for the treatment of 600 cases of moderate to severe injuries.
